OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM OF HER WOMB & COMPANY: The Lindsay Clancy Trial
The Lindsay Clancy trial has ended in a mistrial.
Three children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, lost their lives. A father is living with unimaginable loss. A mother’s life has been forever changed, and the legal questions surrounding this tragedy remain unresolved.
We will not speculate about guilt, innocence, or what another jury may decide. That belongs to the legal process, but there is another question we believe deserves our attention:
What can we do sooner?

At Of Her Womb & Company, prevention begins with education before pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Perinatal mental health care should not begin when a family reaches a crisis. We help mothers and their support systems understand perinatal mental health conditions, recognize concerning changes, and know when additional help is needed.
We recognize when concerns are outside our scope and require professional assessment. We connect families with appropriate mental health, medical, grief, peer support, and community resources. When symptoms indicate an immediate safety concern or psychiatric emergency, we support appropriate escalation to emergency care. And we follow up, because providing a referral is not the same as ensuring someone has a pathway to care.
Our role is not to diagnose or replace a licensed mental health or medical professional. Our role is to educate, recognize, advocate, refer, and respond appropriately when a family needs a higher level of care.
Postpartum psychosis is a psychiatric emergency. Families deserve to know that before they face it.
The legal system will continue its work. Ours is to help families recognize when something is wrong, know what to do next, and connect to the level of care they need.
Legacy Begins Here.
